Outside Sales Representative (B2B | Tampa Market Expansion)

Overview
A rapidly growing infrastructure and field services company is expanding into Florida and has an immediate opening in the Tampa market for an Outside Sales Representative.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help establish and grow a new territory backed by an experienced operations team, strong service capabilities, and a proven model across the Southeast.
We are open to two types of candidates:
- Experienced B2B sales professionals in construction, industrial, or utility services from the local market.
- High-performing field operators or technicians from related industries (hydrovac, utilities, civil, etc.) who are ready to transition into sales from the local market.
Training and support will be provided, but this role requires drive, urgency, and a willingness to prospect consistently.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new business with contractors, municipalities, utilities, and industrial clients
- Prospect daily through jobsite visits, calls, referrals, and networking
- Build relationships with superintendents, project managers, and decision-makers
- Identify upcoming work and position services early in the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth project execution
- Manage opportunities from first contact through close
- Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline activity
What We’re Looking For
- Hunter mentality with a strong work ethic and high activity level
- Comfortable working in a field-based, relationship-driven sales environment
- Ability to communicate confidently with construction and industrial professionals
- Self-starter who can operate with autonomy in a new market
Preferred:
- Experience in construction, utilities, industrial services, or equipment rental
- Existing relationships in the Tampa / Central Florida market
- OR field experience (operator/technician) with strong communication skills and ambition to move into sales
